Hi All,
Quotations are where deals begin — giving customers a clear, professional summary of your products, services, and pricing. Today we’ll walk through how to create your first quotation in Billing As A Service and manage it from Draft all the way to Sent to Customer.

What is a Quotation?
A quotation is a formal document that outlines the products or services you’re offering, along with pricing, terms, and validity. It gives customers a clear understanding of the proposal before they make a decision.
Add a New Quotation
Go to the Quotation tab and click + Add Quotation.
For this tutorial, we’ll skip the Create from Opportunity option and create a quotation from scratch instead. Selecting Skip allows you to start fresh, without linking the quotation to any existing opportunity.

Edit Quotation Information
Once your quotation is created, it will appear in Draft status. Review and adjust the key details:
Start by selecting the Bill From entity that will issue the quotation. You can change the billing entity directly in the quotation form or use the default one. Then, complete the Bill To section with your business and customer information.

Add your items by selecting products or services from your Catalog, or click Use As1-Time Item directly if needed. You can also apply discounts or additional charges directly within the quotation to adjust pricing for special cases.

Check the Terms and Notes section to review or update payment terms, conditions, and any additional notes. You can click Preview to see how the quotation will appear to the customer, and once everything looks correct, click Submit for Approval.

After the quotation has been approved, you can send it directly from Billing App with email to your customer. Make sure your email is synced in the settings first. The quotation will be attached automatically.

And that’s it! Your first quotation is ready, approved, and sent — all seamlessly within Microsoft Teams.
