How to Grant App Permissions for TeamsWork Apps in Microsoft Teams
Updated: 1 day ago
To use every feature in TeamsWork CRM and Billing, an administrator needs to grant app permissions for the actions the app performs on behalf of your users. You manage this from the App Permissions page inside the app, where each permission has its own Grant Admin Consent button.
Where to find App Permissions
Open CRM or Billing in Microsoft Teams, go to Settings, then select App Permissions under Tenant Settings. The page lists every permission the app requests, with a short description, the exact scopes, and a status for each one.

The permissions you may see include:
Outlook Sync: syncs Outlook emails, calendar events, and contacts so your records stay up to date
Cloud Storage: uploads files to SharePoint or OneDrive from inside the app
Chat: creates and manages Microsoft Teams chats from the app
File: uploads files to the Team chat
How to grant admin consent
Grant consent directly from the App Permissions page, one permission at a time.
Review each permission in the list and its requested scopes.
Click Grant Admin Consent next to any permission that is not yet granted.
Sign in with an administrator account if prompted, then approve the request.
Repeat for each permission your organization wants to enable.
Permissions that are already approved show a green Granted status, so you only need to act on the ones still waiting.
Check permissions in Entra
The App Permissions page does not always update right away after you grant consent, especially for Outlook Sync. When this happens, confirm the status directly in the Microsoft Entra admin center.
Open the Microsoft Entra admin center and select Enterprise Applications: entra.microsoft.com/#view/Microsoft_AAD_IAM/StartboardApplicationsMenuBlade/~/AppAppsPreview
Search for TeamsWork M365 Sync and click the app. If you use a non-US region app, the app region will appear in the app name, e.g., TeamsWork M365 Sync for EU.

Go to Security, then Permissions.

Check that the granted permissions appear in the list.

Once the permissions show here, Outlook Sync is active even if the in-app page shows a "Renew Consent" button. You can use Check Consent on the App Permissions page to refresh the status.
If you are not an administrator
Contact your Teams administrator or IT support desk and ask them to grant consent for CRM or Billing. Share this guide so they know where the App Permissions page is and which permissions to approve.
If your IT team wants more detail before approving, TeamsWork can speak with them directly about the app's permissions, privacy practices, and compliance.
Still need help?
If a feature still does not work after consent is granted, or your IT team has questions about permissions, contact TeamsWork directly. We are happy to work with your administrators to get everything running.
