Linking two tickets in TeamsWork Ticketing as a Service lets you move between related tickets. This tutorial also shows how to add a hyperlink to a ticket. You may need this when two tickets are about the same issue, or when a ticket needs a reference to a web page. A link lets you open the related ticket or page directly from the ticket you are working on.

You can link them in two ways:

Link two tickets as an attachment

Use this option to attach the related ticket to the ticket you are working on. Follow these steps:

  1. Open the ticket you want to add the link to.

  2. Open the attachment option in the ticket.

  3. Select the related ticket.

  4. Save the ticket.

  5. Open the linked ticket from the attachments to go to it

Tip : Add a short label before the URL, for example "Related ticket:", so others know why the link is there.

Use this option to add the URL of the related ticket to the description of the ticket you are working on. Follow these steps:

Link two tickets from pasting URL directly in the ticket description

  1. Open the related ticket and copy its URL.

  2. Open the ticket you want to add the link to.

  3. Paste the URL in the ticket description.

  4. Save the ticket.
